My Dorstenia foetida is producing flowers this spring! So far there are two full-sized ones and two littler ones.

I attempted to aid pollination (though this might have been unnecessary) by taking a q-tip and rubbing it against each flower in turn. If this results in a seed crop, I’ll be sure to share the bounty with you, my followers.

Isn’t this plant and its flowers so lovely and weird?

  5. randomc said: HEY! I have this plant too!!!! I really don’t give mine much care, and it flowers every year, last year it also produced seeds on it’s own, which then sprouted in the same pot, and is some pots near this plant.
