Mother-of-Thousands Kalanchoe
When I dropped my plants off at the greenhouse for break I noticed that someone else had left a kalanchoe of a mother-of-thousands type on the top shelf of succulents. I had a strong suspicion that some of its babies would be coming home with me when I picked up my plants a month later.
And yep, so far I’ve pulled up two :/
Hopefully if I pull them as I see them I won’t end up with a little forest of kalanchoes.
fuzzytrees answered your question: For Christmas my grandparents gave me some babies…
Looks like some sort of kalanchoe to me. Strong resemblance to K. pumila, but it’s too dark for that.I was looking through kalanchoes earlier and thought it looked a little bit like the K. longiflora. The leaves on mine aren’t as shiny though. It could be some sort of hybrid, of course.
Ah, that one isn’t in my book! Some of the images of K. longiflora that google pulled up look like your mystery and some don’t… hmm… And a hybrid/cultivar/natural variation is always a possibility.
Pretty display, but don’t they get stepped on every time someone gets a drink of water?
